Keith Haring: Selected Works (São Paulo)
“When conceptualizing the Keith Haring Selected Works exhibition, it was important to me to be able to exhibit pieces never before seen in Brazil and show the relationship that Haring shared with the country. I wanted to tell a story through his work and his life, create an experience, and also use the exhibition to bring attention again to the HIV Virus.” Creative Director & Curator Sharon Battat
Successfully accomplishing all of those goals, Keith Haring Selected Works spent 20 weeks in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with B-boys, DJs and personalities at both the openings, creating an authentic 80’s hip hop and street art vibe. Through parallel art workshops for children and several HIV awareness elements, we were also able to use the exhibition for community outreach. Selected Works was named the best exhibition in Brazil of 2010 by Folha de São Paulo.
Litmedia led every element of this project from ideation, curating, creative direction exhibition design, communication strategy, sponsorship & partnership coordination, as well as all elements of exhibition production, including art handling, logistics and museum coordination.
